Strategic Plan 2005-2008 Sixmilebridge Tidy Towns
Mission Statement:
The development of an environmentally sound, visually attractive community through the participation of all age groups, for the benefit of present and future generations.
Statement of Strategy:
The implementation of the Sixmilebridge Community Development Plan is dependent on the active participation of the community at large, in harmony with relevant State Bodies, local schools, businesses, and semi-state organisations as required.
A positive spirit will be the driving force of the plan. The plan will provide a framework for the Association to maintain the current character of the village while enhancing the natural amenities and the quality of life for the citizens.
Timeframe:
The proposed timeframe for the full implementation of the plan is three years. Each year a detailed work programme will be drawn up from the actions of this plan, determined by availability of funding and resources.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
It is proposed to have an annual review of progress in the implementation of the plan. The annual work programme will detail the projects to be undertaken and act as a reference for monitoring progress.
Strategic Plan:
Arising from the survey conducted in 2005, and incorporating the ongoing aims of the Association, the following strategies will be adopted:

How? By requesting that the County Council put up signage; and by being vigilant about reporting when the bins are nearly full
