Sixmilebridge Tidy Towns actively encourage new members of join the committee.
The Sixmilebridge Community Development (Tidy Towns )Association was formed seventeen years ago with the aim of improving the visual environment of the village of Sixmilebridge County Clare. The main issues at the time were dereliction and underuse of natural amenities, litter, lack of colour and general scruffiness, particularly in the village centre.
Over the years Sixmilebridge has improved immensely through the sheer determination and commitment of the local community, support from FAS, Clare County Council, other groups and many volunteers.
However, the work is by no means completed, and we continue to strive to improve the quality of life in Sixmilebridge through eradication of litter, development and enhancement of green areas, improved services and maintaining and upgrading the existing infrastructure.
